Talent Development Artist - Apprentice Editor
Join us for an opportunity to experience the art of animation and be a part of Walt Disney Animation Studios.
The Talent Development Artist Program is available for recent graduates of undergraduate or graduate programs (within three years of graduation date) for a 3 or 6 month paid position at Walt Disney Animation Studios. The Talent Development Artist Program offers a chance to understand the depth of your new skills, refine and strengthen key areas, and apply your talents in our real world environment. Under the guidance of a Disney Mentor you will be immersed in our world of art and technology while being trained on production workflows and tools.
Music Post Production includes: digitizing, organizing, and managing the editorial process to ensure that the project meets the artistic vision. As an Editorial Trainee, you’ll work with a mentor to learn our editorial pipeline and EDI tools (digital tools) as well as post-production processes.
This Apprentice Program will begin in June! This position is based in our Burbank, California studio.

Requirements:
• Pro Tools editing skills required
• A keen interest in film soundtracks and creating temp scores for animation essential
• Patience, diligence and an ability to work well with a variety of Editors and projects simultaneously
• Enthusiasm for diving into the detail-oriented work of creating temp scores from a vast library of film music
• Must be flexible; craft requires reworking sequences many times over
Job Description:
• Film Soundtracks - gathering , digitizing, categorizing and logging the music editorial film soundtrack library, both digital and CD
• Managing and arranging the musical palettes for each of the WDAS shows in production
• Temp Music - Spotting, searching for music, and editing sequences for various productions
• Conforming music to new picture versions
• Handling data transfer between music and picture editorial
• Archiving - managing the music editorial archives of all past WDAS shows including hard disk management and server archives
• Candidate will be working directly under the mentorship of an experienced Music Editor to support several shows in Production
