Senior Trainer, Partners Federal Credit Union (Temporary Assignment)
This position is responsible for developing an environment which supports continuous learning while ensuring the growth and evolution of staff members into their career roles inside the organization. This position will develop, train, and present consistent informational, technical, and soft skill training programs to the Partners FCU team which supports organizational goals and mission success.
This is a temporary internal assignment position, with no guarantee of permanent placement.
Responsibilities
• Administer soft skill and technical programs
• Partners with HR and Credit Union Management in identifying training and development needs
• Facilitates training programs using various technologies and modalities
• Designs and develops training programs including job aids, manuals, tools and resources to support training initiatives using a disciplined design approach
• Measures and analyzes program effectiveness. Provides recommendations for improvement and implements changes
• Ensures training programs are effective, meaningful, relevant, and sustainable
• Uses empowerment and takes responsibility for decision-making
• Researches training programs and makes recommendations on training content, offerings, and delivery method
• Supports organizational goals through the identification and partnering efforts with all departments in the organization
• Coordinates scheduling and preparation of training classes; tracks attendance and learning plan completion
• Communicates learning opportunities and integrates offerings in curriculum and learning plans
• Observe participant development and update HR leaders
• Responsible for ensuring professional business relations exist with employees, volunteers, vendors, and trade professionals.
• Represents the Credit Union and Sponsor responsibly and professionally when interacting with consultants, employees, volunteers, members, and others in the trade and industry
• Ensures that requests, questions, and problems are courteously, professionally, and promptly resolved with internal and external customers; Maintains confidentiality when appropriate
• Ensures that the Credit Union's reputation and brand is maintained both internally and externally
• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and with management
• Develops and facilitates the delivery of communication as needed
• Collaborates and partners with others as part of getting the work done
• Completes required reports, records, or other documentation accurately and timely
• Leads, attends, and participates in meetings and committees as required
• Supports strategic direction of the credit union to all levels of the organization
• Responsible for duties as required or assigned
• Stays current on training and development methodologies and practices
• Completes other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
• 3 to 5 years relevant work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Previous Design/Facilitation of Technical and Soft Skill Programs
• Effective collaborator and strong teamwork skills
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Works well independently with minimal supervision
• Displays good judgment
• Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous Management Experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Connect, Presenter, Captivate
• Experience in Financial Institution
• Experience in Human Resources
Required Education
• High School or GED (required)
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
