HR Business Partner (Disney Cruise Line Shore)

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources and Diversity & Inclusion, this role provides support for the growth and expansion of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, in addition to serving as HR point for ongoing dry docks. In addition, this role will support the client needs of the NVO Commercial Strategy organization. The HR Business Partner will perform a wide range of responsibilities within a framework set by HR leadership and the client in support of the service delivery model to align to business objectives, including: strategy development, organization & Cast/Crew effectiveness, organizational design, change and transition management, talent management and function HR integration.
Responsibilities
• Leads the Project Management Office and collaborates with DCL Executives and HR functional partners to execute human resources strategies and tactics in support fleet expansion relating to new build.
• Leads Project Management Office for the HR support of all DCL dry docks, in partnership with business leaders and HR functional partners.
• Provides a consultative approach to the delivery of HR Services by servicing as a strategic partner to senior leadership in developing and delivering integrates and inclusive HR Services in a global work environment.
• Leverages HR/business skills and knowledge to challenge or influence leadership in decision making processes related to both its day-to-day operations and its ongoing strategic plan.
• Anticipates and assesses emerging business, organization or people trends and identifies and implements the appropriate HR/diversity & inclusion solutions.
• Designs and executes strategies to increase organization, team and individual performance to improve the business capabilities to deliver against its goals.
• Provides expertise in the areas of leadership and executive team development, organization and Crew/Cast Effectiveness, and meeting design/facilitation with a bias toward building client capability.
• Executes the talent management process to identify current and forecasted talent needs and develops action plans to mitigate associated risk and improve confidence in future successor readiness.
• Leverage HR/business skills and knowledge to challenge and/or influence leadership in decision making.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years Human Resources or leadership experience
• Proven experience working in a global environment
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects with strong prioritization skills
• Proven consulting and/or change management experience
• Proven knowledge of HR industry practices
• Demonstrated strong integration and strategic planning skills
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to help drive business results
• Ability to manage conflict and the courage to challenge organizational thinking
• Ability to travel 10% of time
Preferred Qualifications
• Cruise industry experience
• Proven Disney Company functional HR experience
• SHRM certification or other HR industry equivalent
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field
Preferred Education
• Master's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field
