The Disney University is currently seeking a Learning Technology Manager to lead the technology-related activities within our learning environments. This role is an integral part of the overall strategy and daily activities within all of our teams, and the thousands of Cast, Crew, and Imagineers that visit our building.
We are seeking a motivated leader with a natural curiosity to understand what's possible within our business; the ability to explain the 'why' behind business situations; skilled at motivating and leading a diverse team; has a willingness to learn new things; embodies a spirit of inclusion; can juggle multiple priorities; and is disciplined in their daily approach to work. Successful candidates will possess all these things as well as excellent analytical and quantitative skills, capability of working within a collaborative environment, and exercises sound judgment in their actions.
Responsibilities
• Manage and provide oversight for all technology-related activities within the Disney University, including supporting off-site learning environments, and managing all technology assets within our learning environments.
• Continuously seeking new and creative ways to enhance the learner experience, improve efficiencies, and increase productivity.
• Ability to strategically interact with all levels of leadership, influence recommendations, and contribute to a strong-performing team;
• Support and project lead WDPR learning technology initiatives including D Learn and D Achieve;
• Partner with segment and enterprise technology teams to ensure we are providing a seamless experience for our learners, and within our learning environment;
• Prepare and manage technology budgets, including capital planning;
• Serve as one of the Duty Managers for the Disney University;
• Lead a team of salaried and O&T Cast Members
Basic Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years of prior leadership/management experience or comparable work experience.
• Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, as well as strong presentation skills with a variety of audiences.
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with leaders and peers within the organization both within and across the segment
• Demonstrated ability to maximize internal and external partnerships
• Proven experience in utilizing metrics and analytics to identify operational areas of improvement
• Exceptional project management skills, independent problem solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proven knowledge and understanding of our learning technology environments (e.g. D Learn)
• Must possess a high aptitude for technology
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including holidays and weekends
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technology, or a related field
