Talent Development - Music Editorial Apprentice
Join us for an opportunity to experience the art of animation and be a part of Walt Disney Animation Studios. The Talent Development Apprentice Program is an immersive experience available for recent college graduates within three years of graduation for a 3, 6, 9 or 12 month paid position. The program begins with a 3-month trainee experience under the guidance of a Disney Mentor. The Talent Development Apprentice Program offers a unique opportunity to hone and understand skills, refine and strengthen key disciplines, and engage in a real-time production environment with the support of expert and show mentors throughout the program.
The Apprentice Program is based in Burbank, California, and begins November 2016. The deadline for applications is September 30 at 11:59 PM PST.

Requirements:
• This job will be overwhelmingly dedicated to the use of Pro Tools for music organizing and categorizing, Pro Tools skills are a must
• A keen interest in film soundtracks and temp scores for Animation is essential
• This is a creative yet labor-intensive craft, the candidate will be handling a large collection of audio
• Patience, diligence and an ability to work well with the music department and server administration staff is necessary
• Enthusiasm for diving into the detail-oriented tasks and innovative problem solving
Job Description:
• Film Soundtracks - Learning about and assisting the Assistant Editor in the gathering , digitizing, categorizing and logging the music editorial film soundtrack library, both digital and CD. Assisting the Assistant Editor in managing and arranging the musical palettes for each of the WDAS shows in production.
• Assets - Assisting with the music editorial archives of all past Walt Disney Animation Studios shows including hard disk management and server archiving
• Helping to distribute assets to different departments within the company
Candidate will be working directly under the mentorship of an experienced Assistant Music Editor to support several shows in Production.
