Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, CA seeks a full-time intern to assist the Artistic Department in all aspects of administration and production. The Artistic Intern will perform assistant duties for the Artistic Director, field and make phone calls on behalf of the Artistic Department, schedule meetings, attend meetings, and generate notes. Additional duties include but are not limited to: Attending brainstorming sessions for future programming in Music, Theatre, Dance, Special Events, and Community Outreach and generating notes of these sessions on file; Attending performances in Los Angeles on behalf of The Wallis; Managing all incoming submissions, including reading new play scripts, generating a comprehensive list of submitted materials, and corresponding with writers and agents in a timely manner; Covering many of the Artistic Associate's duties when he is not in town; and Attending design run-throughs, dress rehearsals and previews of our presented and produced theatre productions. The ideal candidate will want to be an active participant in the Artistic Department and will bring their passion and ideas, taking part in forming the department as we grow. The Artistic Intern will receive a weekly stipend and a standard work week Monday through Friday, as well as occasional evenings during the week and/or weekends, occasional weekend days for workshops, and matinees.
