WXIN/WTTV, a Tribune Broadcasting station, has an opening for a Digital Sales Manager to work in our Indianapolis location.
The Digital Sales Manager is a progressive, creative thinker who can conceptualize, execute and close revenue producing ideas that connect our advertiser's goals to our multimedia digital properties, including, but not limited to, the station websites, apps, social media, off-site partners, and marketing services. This position is an integral part of the sales management team and works with the Local Sales Managers on business development for the overall operation, specifically championing digital sales.
Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for driving local digital revenue growth for the station by taking revenue share out of the market and creating new digital business
• Act as the digital expert and partner with LSM's on digital advertising efforts of sales team
• Contribute to the overall sales strategy by forecasting revenue, expense management, training, and developing a business plan to exceed the digital sales budget
• Work alongside the DOS on oversight of all the digital sales products, inventory management and pricing strategies
• Manage, coach, train and motivate the digital AE and Digital Sales Coordinator. Drive performance towards meeting larger station digital initiatives
• Create and sustain business relationships with the Account Executives by coaching, assisting with presentations, prospecting, building plans, negotiating and closing deals
• Develop and deliver best practices for digital knowledge among the sales department and clients
• Work with the corporate digital team on corporate led sales initiatives and group sales projects
• Provide appropriate month-end and campaign-end analytics and other support functions of interactive
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience required
• 3-5 years' experience in sales, promotions, or marketing preferred. Digital advertising experience preferred
• Management experience preferred
• Ability to problem solve and translate objections in to opportunities
• Ability to manage multiple projects, manage time, and prioritize projects and people
• Creative thinking essential
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a rapid, fast-paced environment
• Must be proficient with MS Office, social media platforms, analytics, campaign tools
