Full Time Job
The Studio Technician will have involvement in all aspects of studio operations, specializing in the setup, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of the Ross XPression Graphics System in a Virtual Studio application.
We are seeking highly motivated, adaptable, team players that thrive under pressure and business changes and are prepared to do what it takes to get the job done.
This position requires being available to work off hours including overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with Producers, Designer and/ or Editors to design and compose Virtual Set Elements and Graphics using Ross XPression system.
• Operate Ross XPression during taped and live production
• Other Studio related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Maya experience
• Experience baking lights and creation of low polygon count scenes is a plus
• Experience with Ross Expression and Dashboard a plus
• Chyron / Viz operator or equivalent experience is a plus
• Understanding of digital workflows, digital systems, and signal flow
• Enthusiastic about troubleshooting, learning new technologies, and figuring out how things work
• Excellent technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• In-depth knowledge of computer and IT network systems is a bonus
• Team player
• Must be able to analyze complex electronic problems and make recommendations for swift corrective action
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently, yet strong collaboration skills are required
• Must be able to prioritize and be a pro-active thinker
• Willing to work flexible hours
• Previous studio production experience including operation of Graphics Systems during live production
