Summary Description:
The VP, Talent Relations is responsible for supporting and guiding our most valued asset at WWE -- our Superstars and Divas. He/she will also be responsible for developing systems of communication between different departments internally including Talent Brand Management, Talent Development, Creative Writing, Live Events, Marketing, PR, Legal, Finance, as well as our Television Studio. The VP of Talent Relations will also be responsible for helping develop and implement the overall strategic goals for the department as directed by the EVP of Talent Relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee talent training and development programs such as media skills, life skills, health/wellness, and financial training
- Work on issues relating to Intellectual Property and talent contracts, including liaising with Legal Department, Finance Department and other internal groups
- Manage programs to increase departmental efficiencies and document protocols concerning policies
- Oversee WWE's talent management information system & payroll requirements
- Create and analyze various reports on WWE talent, and develop corresponding recommendations / action items
- Manage event planning and execution with respect to WWE talent, for events such as WrestleMania and other WWE tentpole/multi-day events
- Act swiftly to address urgent, sensitive and/or highly confidential matters relating to talent
- Manage staff of four with diverse responsibilities
Requirements:
- 7+ years of related experience including heavy interaction with professional athletes and/or other professional talent
- Established track record of outstanding judgment in fast-paced, high-profile environment, particularly in dealing with time-sensitive, confidential and/or controversial matters
- Proven experience managing, coaching, and developing staff
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written & verbal), and presentation skills
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Able to travel as needed (approximately 25%)
- Flexible 24/7 schedule as needed
- Bachelor degree; advanced degree preferred
