Full Time Unpaid Internship
Based in Stamford, CT, the VP of International Marketing will be responsible for strategic and creative brand leadership relating to all international B2B and consumer facing events and initiatives. This newly created role will focus on the development and execution of marketing objectives, plans, and programs utilizing internal and external assets to meet these goals.
Responsibilities:
• Working across various business units (Digital, CPG, TV, Live Events, etc.) in a matrix environment, lead the development and execution of all international marketing activities related to fan engagement events, agency and vendor oversight, and working with internal and external partners on ideation, creative, logistics, promotions and operations
• Liaise with key international affiliate contacts for cable, satellite, network and theatrical accounts
• Develop and implement highly effective marketing and promotional strategies with international television partners (including launch programs and ongoing marketing), execute against contractual marketing commitments with TV and digital content partners (e.g., Hulu, YouTube), and oversee advertising inventory and promotional assets with partners
• Maintain strong understanding of cultural diversity and country differences in order to market WWE brands and products in the most appropriate ways across markets with varying brand maturity levels (emerging, growth, maturity, etc.). Includes overseeing consumer research studies in Key international markets.
• Oversee international PR, CSR, and Communications programs and initiatives
• Define, measure, and accomplish key brand performance metrics
• Organize and execute WWE participation at key International Media trade events such as MIPCOM and Sportel
• Manage internal communications, reporting International’s business activities to Senior Management on regular basis
• Oversee the development of approximately five to seven staff members
Qualifications:
• 10-15 years international marketing experience with a global TV/entertainment, media, or sports organization(s), and/or related agency experience
• Proven experience overseeing consumer marketing including live event production and agency management
• P&L management and strong analytical skills
• Proven success in driving ticket sales to consumer events preferred
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Creative/out-of-the-box thinker who embraces unique marketing opportunities and challenges
• Exceptional track record of senior management experience
• Able to travel for business as needed (approximately 30 percent)
• Bachelor degree; MBA a plus
