Full Time Job
The Vice President of Content Analytics will provide the expertise and leadership for developing and enhancing WWE's content analytics function. This includes driving the processes, data collection and aggregation, and solutions necessary to deliver content distribution and consumption analytics and insights against evolving business needs. This role will be responsible for overseeing a team tasked with providing timely, robust, in-depth, quantitative content analyses across WWE's expansive digital footprint and platforms. The output of this team will be tailored to suit business unit needs and audiences, and developed from a results-oriented, growth-driven perspective. The VP, Content Analytics will assist in leading business executives, business managers, and data producers to adopt best practices for data management and data quality. The position reports to the SVP, Data Strategy and will help with the broader objective of creating a culture of ''enhanced data value'' within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee global data, metrics, reporting and analytics for content consumption across key platforms such as WWE's owned and operated digital properties (e.g., WWE Network, WWE app(s), WWE.com, etc.), third party digital properties that offer WWE content (e.g., YouTube, Hulu, social media, etc.), traditional pay-per-view services, international television consumption (e.g., via Kantar and other syndicated services) and close coordination and alignment with WWE's Nielsen team with respect to domestic television consumption.
• Deliver timely, thoughtful content reports and analysis to key stakeholders, crafted with the sense of urgency required in a live events/live content business and with the executive audience in mind.
• Manage a team of analysts with varying data analytics skill sets, fostering a spirit that embraces the precision and certainty of data science, while proactively addressing the needs of a fast paced, high volume organization.
• Champion the implementation and adoption of new content analytics initiatives such as multi- platform performance tracking, dynamic audience measurement, performance benchmarks, asset measurement across platform using normalized metrics, and/or performance outlooks/forecasts. Lead the conceptualization as well as the execution using critical tools and processes.
• Partner on content modeling, dashboard construction, hypothesis generation and testing, company scorecards, and other data driven initiatives.
• Along with other functional leads on the data analytics team, solve for the full analytical lifecycle from concept to delivery, connecting optimization metrics to the strategic intent of underlying business objectives.
• Participate as the business sponsor for technology organization to deploy an enhanced data warehousing and business intelligence infrastructure in connection with content related data.
• Develop and implement analytic best practices across the dimensions of rigor, quality and insight.
Qualifications:
• 10 years of professional experience in content analytics-related roles
• TV, Entertainment, Media, or Sports industry experience strongly preferred
• Extensive experience with traditional media/content measurement tools including Nielsen TV Ratings, Kantar TV Metrics, Google Analytics, Coremetrics, Omniture, and/or other webmaster tools
• Proven track record of building analytics function/capabilities including staff, tools, and processes
• Must have outstanding Excel skills, strong working knowledge of SAS, SQL, Python R, and/or Spark, and proficiency with Tableau, Cognos and similar BI tools
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to seamlessly interact with, influence and engage C-Suite executives
• A deep and broad understanding of core and emerging analytics methods and approaches and how they can be deployed to drive value within a digital business
• Demonstrated ability to apply cutting edge statistical techniques to business problems and to leverage external thinking
• Able to effectively analyze, review, diagnose and quality check reports, analysis, and modeled results
• Superior organizational, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for juggling multiple competing projects on tight deadlines
• Self-motivated with a ''roll up your sleeves'' work style
• Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, math, statistics, etc.)
• Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, or related field of study strongly preferred
