Full Time Job
Based in Stamford, CT, the Vice President, Brand will be responsible for setting strategy to help grow revenue and generate positive brand perception for WWE including strategies around internal and external brand communication, pop culture, influencers (including but not limited to business leaders, government, media, investor relations, celebrities) and brand campaigns. This role requires heavy interaction and partnering across all lines of business, functioning in a highly matrixed environment, as well as creating new and maintaining external partner relationships. This role will report to the Chief Brand Officer (CBO).
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Brand team with its efforts in being the public voice for the WWE brand, communicating the brand message and developing and enhancing the WWE brand image.
• Assist the Brand team with creating and implementing effective brand management plans; work with cross functional teams and support various brand management activities in relation to the WWE's long term and short term image and success.
• Support both the creation of new growth strategies (and the maintenance of existing strategies) with key influencers (business leaders, media, celebrities, investors and government relations).
• Proactively support and grow partnership relationships (eg, media companies, both-new and existing; advertisers and sponsors; CSR; media and public relations).
• Create and seek opportunities to further integrate current pop culture into brand awareness and connectivity.
• Support goal planning and execution of broader Brand team goals, including vetting opportunities and implementing strategic vision.
• Support the activities associated with the identification of new partnership opportunities (boards, government/private sector).
• Work with 3rd party PR agency, as well as WWE PR, to help support communication strategy internally and externally (including speaking engagements, panels, conferences, employee communication, and newsletter).
• Remain up-to-date with all WWE products, initiatives and the general media landscape.
• Oversee and manage the Brand Office budget, coordinating internally as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has a pragmatic approach and brings with him/her a high level of brand expertise, business savvy, executive presence and a positive and engaging demeanor. The ideal candidate needs to have proven experience working in a highly matrixed corporate environment and manage appropriately to all levels including C-Suite Executives and the Chairman of the Board
In addition we seek:
• 10-15 years global marketing experience with TV/entertainment, media, or sports organization(s), and/or related agency experience.
• Solid Brand management experience developing, managing and/or reinventing the image of a corporate brand within the media, entertainment and/or sports industry.
• Proven success leading the strategic planning and campaign management for a company, including publicity through carefully cultivated press, editorial, social media, speaking engagements, and various multimedia.
• Experience in managing people in a fast paced, innovative, and entrepreneurial corporate environment with excellent leadership, communication and management skills.
• Proven strategic thinker, who helps identify opportunities, prioritizes initiatives and demonstrates excellent time management skills.
• P&L management and strong analytical skills.
• Digital and social media savvy as relevant to all branding and communication initiatives including staying up to date with current trends and technology changes.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Creative/out-of-the-box thinker who embraces unique marketing opportunities and challenges.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various styles and types, including creative-minded individuals both internally and externally.
• Ability to effectively navigate a dynamic, fast paced organization with a savvy and mature mindset and common sense approach.
• Open and receptive to feedback, coaching and continuous development.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in relevant related field; MBA required.
