The Vice President of Digital Media Strategy and Operations will be a key member of the Digital leadership team. They will be responsible for overseeing the strategic digital development, execution, and operations of WWE Digital media initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Manage WWE video content distribution across multiple platforms (e.g. desktop, mobile, console) and channels (e.g. YouTube, facebook, Twitter, 3rd party sites) and recommend optimization to improve audience engagement and monetization.
• Manage a team of digital video producers and editors, including a road team, charged with producing and editing all video content published to WWE’s content channels. Streamline workflow for the smooth execution of WWE’s digital video strategy.
• Position WWE at the forefront of video distribution and content innovation
• Seek new digital video opportunities on other content outposts, and spearhead discussions for business partnerships and syndication of WWE-produced content.
• Use data to improve creative programming strategies on a weekly basis.
• Communicate digital video strategy to WWE executives and departmental peers.
• Oversee creative development and innovation. An example might be to create a network of “fan” content creators to supplement WWE video efforts on key distribution channels, using a streamlined process for accepting, approving and propagating UGC contributions.
• Oversee budgets & forecasts
• Foster relationships with innovative third-party distributors and programmers.
• Manage functional needs across departments, and provide creative guidance to teams requiring digital video assets.
• Ensure team skills meet WWE’s creative standards and requirements
• Stay current on all WWE products and programs.
Qualifications:
• MBA required with minimum of 6 years post-graduate experience in top-tier strategic consulting, corporate media, digital media operations and strategic planning.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical ability with exceptional, crisp, persuasive, oral and written communication skills driven by solid business logic is necessary.
• Outstanding facilitator for cross-functional thinking to define complex issues, facilitate ideas, influence thinking, and build consensus around decisions or effectively lead discussion towards decision.
• Strong experience interacting with and presenting to senior executives, as well as the ability to work with senior leaders.
• The individual must have strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects.
• Finally, this individual must be self-motivated, able to independently structure and lead complex analyses, and possess a positive can-do attitude.
