Full Time Job
WWE has an opening for a Technical Director/On-line editor supporting live and recorded productions in a Virtual studio environment. The Technical Director will prepare effects/transitions and operate a production switcher to help create a cutting edge sports entertainment show live for air. The candidate should also have strong linear on-line edit skills. When not scheduled to T.D., the candidate will be expected to lead edit sessions.
Responsibilities:
• Edit sports entertainment style programs and promos in a linear on line edit suite.
• Build and prepare switcher effects and transitions
• Prepare and route video and audio paths/feeds
• Switch live, fast-paced sports/entertainment oriented programs per Director's instructions
• Help provide solutions for studio, and control room production needs
• Serve as a crew chief when applicable
• Test and prepare television technical operations systems and equipment for use
• Work closely with Operations Management and Engineering to ensure all equipment is meeting clients expectations
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Grass Valley Kayenne production switchers, and other edit room peripherals.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an on-line linear edit environment. Experience with Editware edit systems a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a live news and/or sports production control room environment.
• Knowledge of live sports TV production processes
• Must be available for all shifts (weekends and holidays); schedule changes with little to no notice; working additional hours beyond schedule as needed
Additional Job Requirements:
• College degree preferred
• Understanding of television and post production workflows
• Experience editing with AVID preferred
