Overview:
The Senior Manager, Data Analytics will be responsible for supporting internal stakeholders through hands-on quantitative analytics specifically with respect to WWE Network. The role will be responsible for applying appropriate analytics and data knowledge in support of key business initiatives in a timely manner.
This position requires a well-rounded analyst with skills in querying data, data collection, aggregation, reporting, visualization, and presentation of results with a strong passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data.
Responsibilities:
• Interact with various business groups outside of Data Analytics, including Technology, Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, and senior management to identify key questions around WWE Network performance and consumption
• Analyze data to draw insights to drive critical decision making
• Create models to better understand and predict subscriber patterns, user consumption and behavior
• Analyze data to identify missing, incomplete, or invalid information
• Ensure accuracy of source data by running quality checks and perform statistical analysis to establish accuracy of data entered
• Assist in the coordination of data collection from point of origin which may include contacting various groups outside the company to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or obtain missing data
• Assist in the development of analytic tools, KPIs, dashboards, and systems to help build out the analytics platform
• Create and maintain weekly and monthly reports measuring the performance of WWE Network (e.g., subscriber metrics, linear programming consumption, video-on-demand programming consumption, etc.)
Qualifications:
• 4 years of related work experience
• Experience in consumer mobile/internet, online/mobile gaming, and/or OTT content data analytics a plus
• Strong skills in SQL, as well as Business Intelligence, data, and reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, Business Objects, R, Tableau, Hadoop, Python, etc.)
• Experience with Direct Response data analytics preferred (e.g. data mining, reporting, etc.)
• Exceptional analytical ability and sound business judgment
• Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, highly dimensional data from varying sources
• Able to synthesize and communicate complex qualitative and quantitative data using data visualization
• Advanced critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate:
• clearly and confidently with internal stakeholders, and
• complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
• Bachelor degree in quantitative discipline (Math, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, etc.)
• Advanced degree in Mathematics or Statistics a plus
