The Senior Vice President, Human Resources is a vital leader to that team and the WWE franchise, and in that capacity will serve as a member of the senior management team and report directly into the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The position will partner with the Board of Directors, and executive and functional leadership to develop strategies that align with and ensure the business and human capital objectives are achieved and, as a leader, contribute to discussions surrounding the future of the organization and how human resources can contribute to its continued growth, drive bottom line results, enhance productivity, and further develop WWE's greatest assets, its employees.
The Senior Vice President, Human Resources will anticipate and drive any human resources related changes necessary for the health of WWE and act as a trusted advisor to all senior leadership while also overseeing day to day activities both domestically and internationally and lead a team of 7-8 direct reports, at the Director and Vice President levels.
With strong growth and heightened visibility anticipated in the near future, the emphasis for the role is likely to center on talent acquisition and management as the business becomes more complex.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as advisor and subject matter expert to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in critical matters relating to human resources as they relate to WWE; anticipating issues and proposing solutions for discussion.
• Partnering with the leadership team to provide strategic HR support in organizational design, employee relations, talent acquisition and management at all levels, compensation and benefits, training, communication, and compliance.
• Working with the leadership of the organization and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, the Senior Vice President, Human Resources will be responsible for any redesign and subsequent implementation of all compensation and benefit programs. This includes executive compensation and year end salary and incentive planning.
• Play a leadership role in further developing a positive, creative and ethical environment; be the champion of a best practices approach and continue to drive that philosophy throughout WWE.
• Plan, develop and implement short and long term human resources plans that address organization issues and evaluate the organization's developmental needs, implementing training programs as needed; structure and organize Human Resource department to align with business needs and objectives.
• Through working closely with the Chairman and CEO, this individual will ensure WWE has a high performing executive leadership team and ensure each individual contributor has all the tools they need to optimize their performance.
• Identify and address succession issues and through development and succession planning programs, develop ready now candidates as well as a potential pipeline for the future.
• Act as the voice and senior level advocate for the employees to the C-suite and the board members at all times.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree required, Master's degree and SPHR preferred
• Minimum of 12 years of senior level human resource experience with demonstrated success in creating and driving effective initiatives
• Demonstrate proven results in impacting business goals and must be an innovative business and HR thinker
• Possess solid organizational planning and development skills with particular focus on assessing employee populations, benchmarking talent, and implementing development programs
• Well organized, having strong leadership and managerial skills, and the flexibility and adaptability to be able to change direction instantly to meet the dynamic needs of this growing organization
• Experience leading a high performing human resources team which is seen as a partner and a vital component to the success of an organization
• Proven HR generalist with dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce. Ideally from an entertainment, digital media and/or sports company which is consumer centric and content driven
• Experience stepping into an established, highly effective HR organization with a hands-on, dynamic and strategic approach that will enable WWE to become even more of a performance-driven and efficient organization
• Outstanding facilitator for cross-functional thinking to define complex issues, facilitate ideas, influence thinking, and build consensus around decisions or effectively lead discussion towards decision
• Possess both a hands on and strategic approach that will enable WWE to become even more of a performance driven and efficient organization
• Proven success being an effective HR leader at all levels of the organization within a company that has a strong embedded culture
• Experience working autonomously with little CEO interaction while at the same time developing solutions through consensus building across multiple, key stakeholders within the company
