Reporting to the Vice President of Media Technology, the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and Testing is a key member of WWE's Media Technology team, responsible for assuring all consumer-facing digital products are ready for public release. WWE has a broad portfolio of digital products across web, mWeb, native mobile applications, game consoles, Smart TVs, and connected devices. This role will drive process improvement across both automated and manual testing, as well as work across technology functions to drive IT best practices – especially in continuous test, build, and integration. The ideal candidate has a background in software development and/or quality assurance, with hands-on experience writing automated test scripts as well as performing manual QA. Our environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and a lot of fun!
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage quality assurance team consisting of staff and partner resources that are geographically dispersed
• Attract, retain, and develop team members
• Resolve issues and collaborate with customers, peers and partners to escalate issues as appropriate both up and across the organization
• Lead and/or create and execute manual and automation test cases
• Lead and/or perform various types of testing including Functional, Integration, Black Box/White Box, User Acceptance, Load, Regression, and Performance
• Identify, investigate, document, and track issues and validate after defect resolution
• Maintain up-to-date test documents, plans, and frameworks
• Measure and evaluate product and QA team performance; collect and compile statistical reports and drive and recommend improvements
• Analyze performance test results and provide explanations of results
• Develop and implement automation scripts
• Drive QA automation and collaborate on IT best practices – especially in continuous test, build, and integration
• Maintain and adjust existing automated solutions to reflect changes and make improvements
• Meet target deployment schedules; complete tasks being assigned; and provide progress/issue reports promptly
Qualifications:
• 5 years' manual test experience and 3 years automation test experience on desktop web, mobile web, and mobile apps
• 2 years' experience managing a QA team
• 1 year of experience of hands-on writing automation scripts in Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Sikuli, Python, or related technology
• Familiar with Drupal, Jira, ALM, Agile methodology, and the concepts of continuous integration with Jenkins
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Team player
• Can effectively manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Able to work overtime including nights and occasional weekends as needed
• BS/ BA degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
