Responsibilities:
• Drive the growth of an analytics culture throughout the organization based on integration of data, analytics and metadata management.
• Develop and lead an adaptive, innovative and future-looking analytics organization that includes agile and actionable business intelligence operations, and advanced analytics team, and a new enterprise metadata management function.
• Serve as advisor across the organization, providing internal leadership and evangelism of the data analytics and enterprise metadata functions at all levels of the company including the C-Suite.
• Proactively develop insights and strategies to drive revenue growth across all of WWE's lines of business, including but not limited to WWE Network. In connection with WWE Network, the SVP Data Strategy will be responsible for, by way of example, developing insights and strategies to:
• Acquire and retain new WWE Network subscribers worldwide;
• Increase WWE Network subscriber engagement and viewership;
• Support programming development, planning, acquisitions and scheduling;
• Identify opportunities for growth across platforms, markets and subscriber segments;
• Enhance and leverage short-term and long-term metadata, including with respect to new Network features and functionality (e.g., developing and implementing robust recommendation engine, other personalization features, etc.)
• Create and implement a roadmap to successfully integrate disparate customer data to create a 360 degree view of the WWE audience (e.g., WWE Network data, WWEShop data, ticket purchase data, other CRM data, etc.), with a goal of driving all lines of business.
• Bring industry leading and best of breed approaches, methodologies and technologies to WWE, working in partnership with Corporate Technology team where applicable.
• Assess appropriate vendor relationships related to advanced analytical tools, technology, data acquisition, aggregation, curation, BI and metadata management.
• Identify new opportunities in analytics space, including building roadmap and vision for analytics solutions, data and metadata management and processes.
• Partner with business leaders to proactively determine how data and insights can better inform and support their goals.
• Guide and prioritize work of the team based on organizational needs, readiness and benefit.
• Develop and support the team. Establish clear objectives and framework achievements for each team member. Recognize and nurture talent. Proactively manage growth needs through thoughtful long-term internal and external resource requests and budgeting.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be a senior leader with outstanding c-suite communication skills, collaboration and influencing skills, thorough command of business intelligence, analytics and data science within B-to-C businesses, broad understanding of metadata management and optimization, a proven track record of successfully leveraging, communicating and implementing solutions for actionable, transformative data insights, and a passion for managing and developing high-performing teams . He/She will possess the ability to create a compelling, data-driven culture to drive all lines of business – using quantitative data analysis, deep actionable insights, optimized metadata, modeling, and testing.
In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following attributes, skills and professional experience:
• 15 years of professional experience in corporate business intelligence, data solutions or data strategy roles, preferably within subscription and/or content distribution businesses.
• TV, Entertainment, Media, or Sports industry experience is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of and relationships with data providers and platforms in the data space.
• Track record of building successful relationships across organizations to promote the impact and value of data and insights in all departments.
• Proven experience leading and implementing aggressive, innovative and next generation data strategies, including building and managing associated budgets.
• Experience and high comfort level working in environments that requires both ''real time'' and longer-cycle reporting and insights.
• Strong organizational, communications (both verbal & written), presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills. A proven track record of effective, persuasive communication with C-Suite executives, and the ability to instinctively adapt messaging to suit multiple audiences – from the highly technical functions to non-technical and C-Suite. Ability to strategically influence a broad spectrum of constituencies through tailored, highly effective communication.
• Familiar with consumer-facing products and the product development lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of marketing, media, social, web site analysis, audience targeting tools, and vendors, including both quantitative tracking and research methodologies.
• A broad understanding of core and emerging analytics methods, approaches and statistical techniques and how they can be deployed to drive value within a digital business.
• Demonstrated ability to assess reporting and modelled results from perspective of business / operations leads and to adapt output accordingly.
• Previous experience as an operational executive including P&L responsibility a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, math, statistics, etc.).
• MBA and/or advanced degree in business intelligence or related field of study is preferred.
