Overview:
The WWE, an international media and entertainment company, is launching a new television network. WWE is looking for a Program Scheduling Coordinator who will be an integral part of the team launching the new WWE Television Network. The Program Scheduling Coordinator will support the VP of Programming and Research in the program and promotion scheduling of the WWE Network, as well as work with the senior members of the department to develop scheduling strategies and stunts, and provide competitive analyses and research data.
Responsibilities:
• Create monthly program schedules for linear television network and video-on-demand platforms using SIMS scheduling software.
• Enter program information including show descriptions, parental ratings, etc. into computer systems and documents as needed
• Monitor competitive programming trends. Research and analyze competitive networks.
• Review viewership measurement and recommend schedule adjustments to achieve ratings goals.
• Prepare for live events and manage contingency plans.
• Building a daily log
• Troubleshoot daily log issues with traffic and network operations center
• Track usage of programs for scheduling and financial needs and provide reports as needed.
• Serve as contact for scheduling/program information inquiries.
• Screen programming for content.
• Coordinate and set program formats.
• Work with Production on delivery of original programming.
• Act as liaison between the programming department and network operations center, including being on-call outside of office hours
• Create and improve departmental processes in order to promote efficiency. Includes participating in the improvement of reporting programs and their features.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience with program systems such as: Storer Information Management System (SIMS), and Broadway
• Solid understanding of television and sports landscapes, as well as other network’s programming data for the purposes of informing scheduling strategies. Ability to identify competitive opportunities and threats.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word and PowerPoint (MS Office)
• Highly developed written and verbal communications skills
