Manager, Media Distribution (EMEA)
Overview:
The Manager, Media Distribution - EMEA will work with and support the Senior Director of Media Distribution to identify and develop new business opportunities for traditional broadcast, as well as new and emerging broadcast platforms in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities:
• Identify new business opportunities for traditional broadcast, new and emerging broadcast platforms
• Create an integrated approach to developing business across multiple lines (media distribution, live events, CPG, etc.)
• Evaluate and benchmark rights to achieve optimum value in market
• Monitor the competitive landscape to ensure WWE’s growth trajectory continues and the business continues to innovate
• Secure content licenses (e.g. TV / PPV / VOD / IPTV / Mobile TV) across Europe, Middle East, and Africa television markets
• Secure digital media agreements for WWE’s short and long form content, across all established and developing platforms and devices
• Secure digital advertising agreements for WWE.com and it’s local language variants globally
• Provide ongoing sales support to TV and Digital clients and serve as critical point person for external clients and internal stakeholders
• Conduct continuous prospecting and research across all EMEA markets and all platforms
• Provide general support across the global TV, Digital and Movie business as it pertains to Affiliate Relations, Production, Programming, Marketing, Live Events, Consumer Products, Finance, etc.
• Liaise with International TV & Affiliate Relations team on new and current affiliate business status and track accordingly
• Schedule and attend meetings at key trade conventions (Sportel, MIPCOM, NATPE, - MIPTV, Discop, MWC, CTIA etc.)
• Conduct market analysis, performance reporting, and competitor analysis reports
Qualifications:
• Strong TV and Digital media distribution background with a major cross-media, international sports or entertainment company
• Good sales background and experience
• Strong international sales competency with good negotiating skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Target driven
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, web)
• Good understanding of the WWE brand and audience
• Firm understanding of cross platform; digital and social media
• Awareness of and enthusiasm for general media, technology, entertainment, sports and platform trends
• Good networker and presenter, able to excite and engage third parties through a combination of charisma, knowledge and intellect
• Existing sales relationships with international affiliates would be beneficial to the role
• Able to juggle, prioritise and drive collaboration across competing initiatives in multiple markets
• Analytically robust and excellent attention to detail
• Willingness to challenge and influence through analysis and presentation and communication skills
• Able to drive audience research and analysis in order to create an environment of continuous improvement within the team
• Willing and able to travel regularly and extensively to key markets and manage market complexity
