World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc, a recognized leader in global entertainment and publicly traded company (NYSE: WWE), is seeking a motivated and dynamic Manager, Business Development. This is a financial role, which is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities that diversify WWE’s intellectual property, strengthen our brands, generate incremental returns and improve earnings. In addition, the business development manager will lead analytic projects to comprehend aspects of WWE performance and make recommendations to improve company results.
Responsibilities:
* Identify potential WWE business investments; sourcing potential targets from independent research, internal management, investment banks and strategic consultants
* Evaluate investment opportunities, including early stage ventures, for investment, equity investments and M&A transactions
* Assess strategic fit and prepare DCF/IRR financial models to determine viability of investment candidates.
* Prepare Board level presentations to communicate rationale for investment, quantify the range of expected returns and specify risks/ opportunities of investment
* Conduct special projects, collecting and using data to recommend operational changes to improve performance.
* Monitor ongoing business performance and prepare presentations that communicate both business results and operating issues to the Company’s senior management
* Review Company presentations to equity analysts and investors
Qualifications:
* 3-5 years experience in investment analysis (“M&A”), corporate development or relevant financial planning background
* Skilled in preparing effective presentations, with clear narrative and impactful graphics
* Media/ Entertainment industry knowledge, including familiarity with entertainment business model (subscription, advertising, media rights, programming and filmed entertainment …)
* Proven ability to guide the analysis of complex issues
* Highly organized and detail oriented
* Team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment
* Self-starter able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
* Working knowledge of Financial Software; Experience with TM1 and/or comparable OLAP software and planning tools a strong plus
* MBA preferred
