Full Time Job
• Ingest Tape based and File based media to our Avid and EVS media servers
• Monitor up to 14 ingests simultaneously and perform quality control.
• Transcode various unpredictable files of different formats, frame rates, resolutions, etc to our media servers
• In collaboration with Tape Operations, use up-converters when necessary and have knowledge of codecs, frame rates, etc. along with other various video specifications.
• Enter high level (tape label) metadata into tape tracking database
• QC Lo-Res proxy video (technical)
• Apply naming conventions to create filename ID's
• Coordinate with Engineering and help troubleshoot technical issues
• Report to Manager, Central Ingest
• Must have at least 1 year of Tape/File based Ingest experience
• Must be detail oriented
• Ability to work under pressure in a sometimes hectic environment
• Media management skills along with a good technical vocabulary a plus
• Knowledge of the many different video codecs, frame rates, resolutions etc, is key
• Must work well with people in an environment that relies on communication
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 environment
