Learning Objectives
• Learn how to prepare international live event tax documents and run general ledgers/ trial balances for a medium sized entertainment company
• Hone organizational skills by creating tax return binders and organizing information in e-file directories
• Sharpen communication and presentation skills through discussions and/or correspondence with tax agencies and outside advisors on Company matters
Responsibilities:
• Compile lists of talent for specific tour dates
• Prepare performer certificates (country specific)
• Research prior international tour performers remuneration
• Assist in the calculation of future int'l tour performers remuneration
• Working in JDE (accounting software). Analysis of account balances and review of journal entries.
• Calculate and prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and vouchers
• Liaise with state and city department of revenue centers to determine current tax payments on account.
• Research Federal/State tax notices and gather support for response preparation
• Assist with data gathering for quarterly income tax provision calculation
• Organize data requests for tax credit applications
• Assist with creation of domestic and foreign film entities
Qualifications:
• Intern should be a college junior, senior or graduate student.
• Student must be able to provide proof of school credit eligibility (unofficial transcript, course catalog page, note from faculty advisor or career center staff) Please attach to application before completing
• Major in accounting or finance with accounting concentration
