Full Time Job
The ERP Analyst role at a top media company will be focusing on the functional areas of ERP programming and systems analysis. Reporting into the Director of Enterprise systems, this role is responsible for the day to day operational responsibility of the companies back office ERP system. The Analyst designs applications, tests, maintains, and documents applications based on user requests, and will also analyze finance and other business functions in order to develop new or modified information processing systems.
Operational Responsibilities:
• Work with business users of Finance and Consumer products to identify innovative system solutions to address current and future business conditions and requirements
• Function as lead analyst in evaluating Workday FMS its related ecosystem
• Provide first and second level support for end users of the ERP JDE Enterprise One application by providing specific system and business expertise when necessary to solve
production and maintenance problems in the areas of Finance (AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets) Sales, Procurement and Inventory
• Manage changes to environment using SDLC principles
Functional:
• Analyze, design, and lead new areas of application enhancement within WWE's future Saas based ERP in areas of Finance – Accounting, AP/AR, Fixed assets
• Identify opportunities to streamline business processes through the use of technolofy the areas of AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, Inventory
• Work directly with end-users to identify and define opportunities for systemic business solutions
• Act as change agent for Finance transformation for business initiatives
• Training and implementation responsibilities for any new functionality identified in the legacy ERP as well as Saas based ERP
Technical:
• Analyze software requirements to develop technical design specifications
• Manage offshore development team for delivery of new programs including design documentation, code review, use case documentation and end user manuals
• Develop appropriate testing and implementation plans for bug fixes, interfaces and new enhancements
• Analyze source business data from JDE and develop or modify mappings to extract data into a new SaaS ERP and data warehouse environment for Financial and operational reporting.
• Coordinate program documentation including technical specifications, change history, test plans, test results and scheduled run documentation with offshore development team
• Coordinate tasks related to JDE Configurable Network Computing (''CNC''), including package builds, deployments, security, configuration and trouble shooting of Enterprise, Database and Web servers running in both the Sun Solaris and Windows environments.
Project Responsibilities:
• Assist in the successful implementation of company's new Saas ERP (Workday) implementation including vendor selection, kick off, project implementation, integration and data migration
• Work with the Business Process Owners and Subject Matter experts to evaluate business processes and application solutions, while identifying gaps in functional and non-functional requirements
• Assist in the definition of the long term solution for the environment managed services, hosting and other associated support
• Gather system and reporting requirements – propose solutions and implement as required
• Cross train in new system to learn the ERP application for support and development
• Write end user and IT application documentation
• Participate in system testing, research, prepare, analyze, update and resolve issues
• Work with other IT resources to establish and test interfaces
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems is required
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or Accounting is a plus
Required experience:
• 5-7 years of supporting back office finance systems
• 1-2 years of Workday Financial management
• 7- 10 years of extensive experience supporting Finance back office functions
Preferred experience:
• 5 years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or comparable ERP system full life cycle implementation
• Knowledge of additional enterprise applications is a significant plus especially Workday
• Understanding of basic accounting and inventory/sales and distribution principles
