Role Summary:
WWE is looking for a Director of Solutions Architecture who can work in a fast paced environment and can be detail oriented while managing many tasks. The successful candidate takes initiative, can think through technical options, and is creative in developing measurable solutions while maintaining a positive can-do attitude and professional presence.
Responsibilities:
• Support the VP of Digital Technology by providing recommendations to the WWE Digital technology stack and by providing technical assessments of all 3rd party vendor solutions
• Provide leadership for the development and implementation of any new wwe.com related site launch including both domestic and international deployment’s
• Develop and maintain repository of technical guidelines for internal and external development team(s), including, but not limited to: technical design documentation, software release process, coding guidelines, etc.
• Provide technical due diligence of software products and platforms by evaluating solutions based on scalability, reliability, and alignment to business objectives
• Define approach for integrating existing platforms and products, and documenting end-to-end architecture recommendations
• Provide day-to-day support to the Digital Technology team by leading technology reviews and support post-release problem management efforts in conjunction with the software development team
• Ability to identify solutions to quickly generate action plan
• Stay current to understand and embrace new technologies
Qualifications:
• BA or BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. MBA or MS preferred
• Must have minimum of 10 years of experience in extensive large scale web development architecture/design/implementation
• Ability to manage multiple, competing, fluid priorities across several different projects and to work within time constraints and to a deadline
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving meaningful results
• Confident and comfortable with raising key technical and/or process related questions and issues and driving to quickly eliminate roadblocks and uncertainty
• Familiarity and experience with content management / page publishing paradigms and CMS products and hands-on experience in design, development, deployment, and configuration of clustered and high-availability, large scale web products
• Understanding and/or implementing:
• Content management systems (Drupal 7)
• Web analytic tools (Google Analytics)
• Ad networks (DoubleClick, Tremor)
• Web Technologies: Java/J2EE,Servlet, JSP, JDBC, Web Services, JavaScript, AJAX,HTML,XML,XSL,CSS,RSS
• Technology stacks: Glassfish, Tomcat, JBOSS, Apache/IBM HTTP Server or similar
• Databases: Oracle, MySQL, alternative high performance DB technologies
• Configuration/Version Control: Subversion/JIRA or similar SCM
