Overview:
The Director of Program Scheduling will be responsible for supporting and executing WWE Network’s overall programming strategy to maximize viewership on all platforms. The Director will also be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Programming Department as well as the timely and clear communication of scheduling information to key stakeholders in the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Execution of Program Scheduling for linear television program content, as well as scheduling video on demand.
• Work closely with VP Programming to identify programming opportunities and manage program planning contingencies.
• Create high-impact stunting.
• Manage program inventory and establish schedules based on program availability and evaluation of research/audience data for the channel.
• Recommend renewals, cancellations, and scheduling changes.
• Assist in launching new initiatives, such as international channels.
• Identify and implement processes and systems to create a more efficient workflow and team, including supervising the upgrading of SIMS and Broadway functionality as necessary.
• Effectively utilize quantitative and qualitative research to inform scheduling decisions.
• Supervise programming team as necessary.
• Act as key partner and back-up to the VP, Program Scheduling as needed.
• Be available during off-hours to support live programming and network emergencies.
Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of scheduling and programming strategy. Demonstrated ability to program across different platforms and develop windowing strategies.
• Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Highly developed written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management, staff, and external professionals
• Solid personnel management skills and ability to evaluate talent and develop an appropriate organization structure to service internal clients.
• Adaptable and flexible; willing and able to adjust in a positive and effective way to frequent change and new directions.
