JOB DESCRIPTION:
World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. is a recognized leader in global entertainment. We are hiring a Director, Marketing and Communications '' International. The Director will oversee the marketing programs of WWE's television and Pay-Per-View businesses in 145+ countries.
The Director will also oversee the department's marketing budget and contribute to strategic development, with the goal of increasing international market share and revenue growth. In addition, the role will manage cross platform international marketing campaigns for: affiliate marketing, consumer advertising, live events, films and other promotional opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Liaise with key international affiliate contacts for cable, satellite, network and theatrical accounts
* Develop and implement international affiliate marketing promotions for PPV and TV
* Develop and manage business plans designed to drive international television ratings, grow PPV business and support other business units
* Ensure continuity with US brand marketing objectives
* Manage international marketing team who drives day-to-day client/account interaction; support marketing and sales needs of clients
* Work closely with WWE's International Distribution team to meet and exceed distribution sales goals
* Develop and manage third party relationships, including marketing agencies, ratings and research firms
* Provide additional oversight of multi-million dollar marketing budget, forecasting, accruals and overall fiscal responsibilities
* Forge relationships with internal departments to explore revenue growth opportunities and integrate overall sales/marketing goals
REQUIREMENTS
* 5+ years experience executing integrated marketing programs for sports/entertainment properties; cable/tv experience with international affiliate partners required
* Understanding of the international markets and key players
* 5+ years managing a marketing team
* Experience managing communication with international partners and able to successfully build relationships
* Excellent project management and organizational skills
* Strong interpersonal skills/Team orientated
* Capacity to work effectively in a large corporate structure with synergies across multiple media platforms
* Able to multi-task in fast paced environment; skilled at juggling various responsibilities with changing priorities
* Collaborative, creative and accountable
* Self-directed and proactive, able to work independently
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* International/multicultural experience and bilingual language skills a plus
* Able to travel as needed (approximately 10-15%)
* Bachelor degree required; MBA degree preferred
