Overview:
Based in WWE's London office, the Director, CPG Licensing & Retail, UK will manage, develop and support the growth of WWE’s consumer products business across the UK through regular communication, updates, and continued support to all hard-line, soft-line, promotional, and retail partners. This will involve the assistance and timely flow of all WWE paperwork in-line with WWE guidelines and set performance to optimize royalty income through licensee and retail placements.
Responsibilities:
• Help define the strategic direction and growth opportunities for the Consumer Products business across the UK region
• Oversee deal memo processing, contracts, and partner commercial questions
• Collaborate with regional team members and external partners to develop and manage integrated, multi-platform marketing, promotional, and event plans
• Build and support relationships with global toy, interactive, home entertainment, construction, and novelty partners
• Develop and coordinate quarterly licensee workshops
• Create and oversee UK monthly newsletters to licensees
• Help troubleshoot to ensure our brand extension programs are managed effectively and efficiently
• Assist in the forecasting of royalty and sales revenues for budgeting purposes
• Build, nurture, and manage partnerships with UK licensees
• Work with leading retailers to secure retail promotions
Qualifications:
• 6 years of related Licensing experience including brand management and a sound understanding of brand values
• Strong contacts within the UK licensing community
• Experience with boys brands would be helpful but not essential
• Proficient technical skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Keynote
• Independent thinker and creator with a creative flair for generating ideas that will increase revenues and/or improve business practices
• Able to formulate sound strategies, create action plans, and execute to achieve results
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present to senior level management
• Proven sales ability and negotiation skills
• Team player with good time management skills and ability to multitask while still paying attention to important details
• Eager to learn with the desire to progress and stay updated on industry news, best practices, and current affairs
• Knowledge of a foreign language(s) a plus
• Bachelor degree strongly preferred
