Overview:
Responsibilities:
• Develops and executes multi-faceted advertising, cross-category merchandising and promotional programs with all relevant retail accounts - Mass Merchant, Mid-Tier, Specialty, Discount, Clubs, Supermarket and Drug
• Identifies and exploits opportunities to open up new distribution channels (or accounts) for WWE consumer products including but not limited to home shopping, catalog, direct response and on-line
• Pitches and creates Direct-to-Retail licensing programs with Retailers
• Ensures all retail marketing programs are in line and consistent with overall WWE marketing strategies and brand positioning
• Ensures that priority WWE corporate or event-related initiatives are integrated into retail marketing programs
• Works with Consumer Products team to represent WWE at all relevant Consumer Product trade shows and new business meetings
• Works collaboratively with WWE Studios, International, Music, and Consumer Products teams on retail marketing strategies and best practices for retail promotions
• Keeps licensees and priority retail accounts updated on WWE research and new initiatives
• Develops sales presentations and marketing materials for retail-related meetings and trade shows
• Plans and executes Talent appearances for key retailers to help drive merchandise sales
• Manages retail marketing budget collaboratively with Senior Director, Global Toys
Qualifications:
• 6 years of retail development at a licensor, toy manufacturer, licensing agent, retailer or relevant brand management experience
• Retail development experience should include experience with retail sales/account management across a variety of top retail channels beyond Mass
• Strong buyer or retail marketing contacts
• Prior experience developing cross-category programs that included key licensee categories such as action figure and construction toys, DVD, video game, apparel and publishing
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively with all levels of management within and outside the company
• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
• Familiar with NPD, POS, MRI and Scarborough data and generating actionable insights
• Able to travel for business as required
• Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications or related field of study preferred
