The Director, Social TV will be responsible for increasing the social media integrations at WWE live events, pay per views, broadcast TV, and live WWE Network specials. Presenting the social media strategy and outcomes to the C-Suite at WWE multiple times per week is a key factor in the role. The Director will be based in WWE's Stamford headquarters as a member of WWE's Social Team and travel to WWE televised events.
The successful candidate will have 9 years of agency, brand, or social platform experience and be familiar with the WWE brand. The candidate will have experience energizing others about the Social landscape, evangelizing platform strategies and campaign successes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Present the social media strategy for televised events to c-level executives and the creative team.
• Communicate successful TV integrations and specific highlights across various platforms.
• Work with WWE talent to produce content that extends storyline as well as promote company initiatives.
• Oversee a team of four Social Producers at WWE live events.
• Work closely with the home team to understand weekly activations and content strategy in order to communicate to the executive team.
• Represent senior social media executives in television production meetings.
Qualifications:
• 9 years of experience in social media with a major brand or agency, with significant work pitching or presenting to executives.
• Working knowledge of WWE shows, talent, and storylines a plus.
• Strong organizational and communications skills (both verbal and written).
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Passion for emerging media trends and technology.
• Able to travel weekly to WWE Televised Events, including internationally.
• Bachelors degree
• 80% travel
