Full Time Job
The Director of International Social Media will be responsible for managing the social media presence for WWE in international markets. The Director will be based in WWE's Stamford headquarters as a member of WWE's Social Team.
The successful candidate will have 8 years of agency or brand experience and be familiar with the WWE brand. The candidate will have knowledge of international social media strategy and experience managing a team of social media managers and social agency partners in markets across the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary point of contact for agencies and partners running WWE social properties in international markets
• Onboard new social media partners, and support the Social Team in defining social platform strategy by region
• Maintain the brand voice in market by working with partners to provide feedback on social guidelines and define content objectives for regional social media pages and accounts
• Provide information to partners
• Provide content ideas out to international partners with weekly objectives and daily distribution of links to WWE.com
• Work with social editors in key markets to drive engagement on regional accounts and web traffic to local websites
• Report on social media activity weekly, tracking on engagement objectives on regional social accounts as well as surfacing insights from fan engagement in market
• Establish process to manage the inflow of social content from other markets intended to post on the global WWE social media accounts, providing support to partners in market for artwork and content edits
• Work with International Marketing to distribute marketing messaging for other countries, and maintain appropriate levels of content versus promotional messaging
• Project manage social support for regional marketing activations
• Project manage social support for WWE's international tours and talent visits to regions
Qualifications:
• 8 years of experience in social media with a major brand or agency, with significant work on international accounts and projects
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of WWE TV shows, talent, and storylines a plus
• Strong organizational and communications skills (both verbal and written)
• Able to translate data into easy-to-understand insights
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Passion for emerging media trends and technology, and knowledge of how different countries use social media.
• Willing and able to work as needed on evenings and/or weekends, and ability to schedule calls in various time zones
• Able to travel for business as needed (approximately 10 to 20%)
• Language skills a plus
• Bachelor degree
