Overview:
Working in WWE's state-of-the-art Television Production Facility, the Broadcast Engineering Senior Project Manager, reporting to the VP of Engineering, is responsible for broadcast systems design engineering and technology implementation in areas such as HD Linear and Nonlinear editing, Audio Post Production, HD Graphics and HD Transmission.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage multiple simultaneous technical projects including managing budgets, timelines, vendors and Project Engineers to ensure successful project completions
• Conceptual and Detailed design of Post Production and Broadcast systems
• Creation of all project deliverable documents including budgets, drawings, specifications, user guides and other documents as required
• Perform complex alignment and tests of Post Production and Broadcast equipment
• Participate in equipment evaluation, selection and testing
• Investigation and evaluation of new technologies
• Interface with other departments, vendors, suppliers, contractors and others at all levels.
• Ultimately responsible for implementing projects, designs and technology successfully.
• Provide technical expertise for various systems and equipment. Assist in the day to day support of systems and equipment
• Train and mentor others
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or equivalent industry experience
• 10 years’ experience designing professional broadcast systems
• Demonstrable success in leading an Engineering Project Management Team
• Demonstrated ability to install and service professional Production and Broadcast equipment (Editors, Audio equipment, Graphics systems, video servers, tape machines, production switchers, terminal equipment, etc.)
• Extensive trouble shooting experience
• Strong knowledge of audio/video technologies, both digital and analog, SD and HD
• Well-versed with AutoCAD, Visio, MS Project, MS office suite applications
• Knowledge of video and audio compression technologies preferred
