WME is seeking an assistant in the Corporate Communications department of the agency's Beverly Hills office.
The position has various responsibilities, including supporting corporate and client PR and marketing initiatives; writing press announcements and pitches; clipping relevant articles from newspapers and magazines; compiling and distributing a daily roundup of industry and client-related articles to the company; recording press calls; maintaining press lists and the department's editorial calendar; managing our company's archives; and other administrative duties such as answering phones and filing.
Candidates must have strong writing and multi-tasking skills and be professional, dependable, hard-working, efficient, detail-oriented and highly-motivated. Must have exceptional people, communication and organizational skills for this very demanding and fast paced environment. Must have 1-2 years of experience in entertainment, ideally at a publicity firm or in a publicity department at a studio. While there are many assistant duties including scheduling and phones, the position allows for much autonomy. Knowledge of Microsoft Office a must. Complementary majors include (but are not limited to) Communications, Public Relations, Business, Film, and Journalism. Ideal candidate is resourceful, sharp, committed and has a positive can-do attitude.
