WHNT, Tribune Broadcasting stations, has an opening for a Graphic Designer to work in our Huntsville location.
The Graphic Designer requires a thorough understanding of design principals, color theory and possess an eye for consistency and accuracy. They are responsible for enforcing station's visual brand and client campaigns. This role is primarily responsible for creating, coordinating and maintaining on-air, promotional and social creative for News and Promotions.
Primary Responsibilities
• Design/create graphics for daily newscasts, specials, commercial, social and promotional spots
• Create and produce animated graphic opens and elements for newscasts, clients and promotions
• Work cross-functionally with internal departments to fulfill station's graphic needs as needed
• Contribute to special projects such as digital ads, print work, signage, animation and set design as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience required
• A minimum of 1 year relevant experience
• Strong design, illustration and typographic skills required
• Experience with Mac OS, Adobe products including; After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of 3D animation software
• Willingness to learn new advertising and content platforms as they develop
• Ability to work in a rapid, fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be available to work station promotional events
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
