Social Media Manager (SMM)
The WHAM Network is seeking a Social Media Manager (SMM) to conceive, build, and execute its social media strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works, the primary audience, and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. The SMM will be responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and promoting the brand by providing support to current and prospective community members. Emphasis will be placed on community building skills and the ability to build a brand, new online fan base.
Responsibilities:
Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
Create and publish daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company's social content.
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community.
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
Continuously improve performance by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions
Requirements:
Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist.
Demonstrable social networking experience and social media and analytics tools knowledge.
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects for creating engaging online content
Strong knowledge of live-broadcasting to social media platforms
Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, and conversion rate optimization.
Deep understanding of SEO and what type of content works best on what platform and how to optimize content accordingly, as well as understanding the particular nuances of each platform.
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
