We are looking for a Senior Art Director who will help take us from superstation to legitimate cable network. We need someone who is hands-on in broadcast, print, and web design. You'll get to dream up concepts, design and create solutions for graphic elements used across multiple platforms including on air, online, outdoor, and integrated sales. You will also oversee and maintain a unifying look and style across our properties. You will be able to shape our future as we plan to re-brand once our new series hit the air.
Responsibilities Include:
• Developing, producing and maintaining high end visual elements for WGNA
• Oversee development and execution of design elements from concept to finished product
• Collaborate with VP of Design on broad network/corporate initiatives
• Work efficiently within project schedules, budgets, and resources
• Develop in-house design team
• Recommend and evaluate new software and/or equipment
• Coordinate deliverables in all areas of design
Requirements Include:
• 8+ years of relevant on air, cable, agency, and production house experience (Branding, motion graphics, sales promotion, advertising, event marketing, etc.)
• 2+ years supervisory or management experience
• Possess a high level of strategic and conceptual thinking - Advanced computer skills - After Effects, Adobe Illustrator,Photoshop, 3D animation (Maya, Cinema 4D)
• Proficient in managing large scale projects within budget parameters, with little to no supervision
• Actively seeking out broader and bigger creative challenges
• Ability to multi task and juggle more than one project at a time, sometimes with tight deadlines.
• The ability to play nice with others! You'll often work with editors, designers, and writer/producers to bring projects to fruition. Have a fundamental understanding of brand positioning and how it drives creative direction.
If you think you've got a killer sense of design, then show us what you've got.
