The successful candidate will manage and coordinate the daily creative, promotion and marketing efforts for WGNA-Tribune Entertainment. Responsibilities include scheduling bays and staff, delivering materials to air, internet, cable partners, vendors, and agencies; booking announcers and sessions, scheduling spots on WGN America. Responsible for acquiring and clearing materials for air and WGNA official website. Reporting to the two senior managers above, these responsibilities include leadership of the station's Marketing department, and a core mandate to increase audience ratings for the station's slate of original programming.
Additional duties to include:
* Departmental budget planning and oversight
*Network and program supplier relations and coordination
*Sales support and direct client marketing needs
REQUIREMENTS:
*Strong and proven Marketing/Operations background at network or cable
*3 years' experience leading a minimum 6 person creative department
*Proven ability & experience to manage strategically
*Administrative experience
*Fluency with Microsoft Suite and other typical office software, along with an ability to learn additional
*Ability to manage multiple projects under extreme deadline pressure
*Dedication, passion, and a strong work ethic are prerequisites
*BA Degree preferred or equivalent experience
*Three industry references, three personal references
