WGN America is launching groundbreaking original scripted dramas in 2014. And we are looking for the talent to make these new series break through the clutter. If you see the world in colors and texture and are ready to bring your creative vision to all our marketing efforts - then we want you.
We are looking for Designer who will help take us from superstation to legitimate cable network. We need someone who is hands-on in broadcast, print, and web design. You'll get to dream up concepts, design and create solutions for graphic elements used across multiple platforms including on air, online, outdoor, and integrated sales.
Responsibilities Include:
• Developing, producing and maintaining high end visual elements for WGNA
• Execution of design elements from concept to finished product
• Collaborate with VP of Design and Sr. Art Director on broad network/corporate initiatives
• Versioning WGNA materials for all media
• Concepting and Ideation for show and network graphic package look and design
Requirements Include:
• 3+years of relevant on-air, cable, agency, and/or production house experience (Branding, motion graphics, sales promotion, advertising, event marketing, etc.)
• Possess a high level of strategic and conceptual thinking - Advanced computer skills - After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, 3D animation (Maya, Cinema 4D)
• Ability to multi task and juggle more than one project at a time, sometimes with tight deadlines.
• Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches
• The ability to play nice with others! You'll often work with editors, mixers, and writer/producers to bring projects to fruition. Have a fundamental understanding of brand positioning and how it drives creative direction.
