Produces video and audio recordings in the field, newsroom and studio, Collects information and obtains interviews at the scene of news events. Edits stories on deadline in the field and in the newsroom. Operates audio, video and microwave equipment for live remote broadcasts. Maintains assigned equipment keeps it clean organized and operational. Alerts supervisors about needed repairs. Works a flexible schedule to cover stories as assigned. Maintains excellent driving record. Position requires candidate must be able to lift/carry 40+ pounds. Three years experience as a photojournalist in the news department of a commercial television station. Bachelor¡¦s degree from a four year college or university preferred. Position requires excellence in operating P2 cameras, Avid NewsCutter, TVU backpacks. Exemplary driving record and must provide WAGA-TV with an official copy of their Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for the previous three years. Must be able to communicate clearly and deal effectively/politely with the public and public officials. Computer literacy
