Associate Producer

This is a Part Time Job

Gathers news and information via news wires, news feeds, telephone and interviews; writes news stories and creates graphics for broadcast under deadline; produces and coordinates interviews, video tape story elements and reporter voice tracks fed from the field via remote truck and/or satellite; produces and coordinates reporter live shots and live talk-back interviews. Must demonstrate skill in writing conversational broadcast copy incorporating appropriate visual elements under daily deadline pressure; must have above average typing skills and must possess the ability to learn to use the newsroom's computer system and technology; must be proficient in English grammar, spelling and punctuation; must communicate clearly and deal effectively and politely with the public in person and over the telephone.
