Overview:
Vubiquity is the largest global provider of multiplatform video services and solutions. We are currently seeking a Rock Star Tax Director to head our U.S. and International tax efforts! The position will direct tax compliance, planning, and strategy for the company.
Major Activities to ensure achievement of key results and deliverables:
•Manage the outsourcing engagement of and/or internal preparation of U.S. federal, state, local, and international tax filings
•Preparation and review of global tax provision process and ensuring all income tax related accounts are recorded accurately and in accordance with ASC 740/FIN 48, including journal entries and reconciliations
•Prepare tax-related disclosures required in GAAP financial statements
•Manage estimated tax payments process
•Partner with FP&A regarding income tax projections
•Review and monitor transfer pricing arrangements between entities, putting new arrangements in place as needed
•Work closely with outside advisors regarding tax advice
•Overseeing changing tax strategy as businesses develop and realign operational models to assure proper alignment of tax and accounting processes, inter-company transactions and transfer pricing arrangements
•Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transaction activities, overseeing tax due diligence, developing tax strategy and structural planning options and coordinating tax process integration
•Oversee the R&D tax credit process in order to optimize the tax credit in the United States
•Implement tax initiatives under the finance transformation project as approved by the Board of Directors including designing and communicating tax business and information requirements and broad scale legal entity rationalization
•Drive continuous improvement opportunities identified to minimize future exposures
•Provide strategic tax advice in relation to new ventures, projects, and contracts
•Lead tax controversy activities, developing defense strategy, coordinating resources necessary to optimize audit outcomes and then driving continuous improvement opportunities identified to minimize future exposures
•Communicate with federal, state and local tax authorities to resolve issues
•Monitor proposed and enacted global tax laws and effectively communicating any significant new developments and potential impact to company's tax positions
•Assist with international tax planning opportunities, including holding company and other structuring, along with providing guidance on withholding tax and foreign tax credit calculations.
•Recommend and implement global tax policies
•Ad hoc analysis and projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
•Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, an advanced degree in accounting or tax, a JD or LLM, or CPA certification or equivalent
•10+ years of corporate tax experience including significant ASC 740 (FAS 109) tax accounting experience
•Specific experience in taxation related to Subchapter C, Subchapter K, consolidations, mergers and acquisitions, intangibles and partnerships/joint ventures
•Experience in a multi-national company, ideally with business in EMEA & Latin America
•Knowledge of state and local taxation of ''services'' companies
•Strong sense of integrity; a commitment to service and technical excellence
•Self-motivated with the ability to learn a complex organization quickly
•Strong business acumen and ability to develop strong business relationships with all levels of management
•Ability to establish, refine and improve processes and procedures, a commitment to process and documentation excellence
•Strong cross functional team builder capable of aligning and developing resources across the organization to support tax initiatives
•Strong problem solving, organizational and time management skills
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop positive morale; create a sense of ownership and client service in a results-driven team environment, both functionally and with the rest of the organization
Preferred, but not required:
•Big 4 accounting firm experience.
•Experience developing effective tax tools and working with an IT organization to replicate efforts

•Must have timely, relevant, accurate and meaningful reporting and tax filings
•Risks are reflected in the reporting, and highlighted to management in time for corrective action
•Financial transparency for all key activities
•Decision making that positively affects profitability

•A highly motivated and effective team
