Overview:
The Senior Payroll & HRIS Analyst performs complex payroll processing tasks requiring a thorough knowledge of domestic and international payroll rules and regulations, accounting and auditing, reporting and analysis, system implementation, stock and equity functions, and IPO preparedness.
Responsibilities:
•Process and administer payroll system reporting and processing of payroll in a multi-state / multi-territory environment for 300+ employees
•Reconcile and audit various payroll-related activities, investigate variances, and determine corrective action
•Responsible for managing expatriate payroll, including hypothetical tax management, allowance adjustments, and equity payments
•Manage and coordinate multiple vendor relationships to drive foreign national payroll processing and ensure accountability
•Remit as necessary any tax payments as instructed by auditors or international payroll vendors
•Manage auditor relationship and implement any necessary adjustments to expatriate payroll
•Manage year-end tax filing and process for all foreign national payroll and expatriate adjustments
•Prepare schedules to support workers compensation audits, 401K audits, and other surveys/reports requiring employee payroll data
•Employee liaison re: stock awards
•Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations
•IPO preparedness
•Lead implementation of global payroll system in partnership with Human Resources
•Work closely with technical departments to implement process improvements, test system changes, and lead and/or collaborate on special projects
•Interface with international payroll to provide consolidated global reporting
•Work with human resources team on special projects
Additional Responsibilities:
•Responsible for maintaining absolute confidentiality relative to employee personal data and matters
•Provides information as requested to employees, supervisors, internal and external auditors or other personnel by referring to policies, rules, regulations or procedures or by researching files for information
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or related field
•5 - 8 years of experience
•Experience with HRIS implementation, configuration and support
•Experience in analysis and development of payroll systems and their integration with internal and external systems and applications
•Understanding of payroll taxes at International, Federal, State and Local levels
•Prior stock administration and/or stock award experience desirable
•Extensive knowledge of HRIS required
•Experience with benefits administration preferred
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
•Experience with Paycom a plus
•Certified Payroll Professional certification preferred
