Overview:
The Enterprise Architect works with all business & technology stakeholders- both leadership and subject matter experts-to design a holistic, technology agnostic view of the organization's strategy, business processes and information assets.? The candidate takes this knowledge and ensures that the Business and IT strategies remain in alignment.? The Architect's role is to link the business mission, strategy, and processes of the organization to its IT strategy, and document this using architectural models that show how the current and future needs of an organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.?
The Enterprise Architect helps establish the technology strategy, translates strategic intent into actions that bring about business and technology change. This position is expected to understand the complexities of the organization, processes, information, and technologies then built future-state models to best realize the organization strategy.? This position provides leadership and oversight for the Enterprise Architecture Department, which provides ideas and recommendations to further the success of company by ensuring alignment of the Business Strategy, Service Offerings and Enterprise Application and System Architecture.?
Summary of essential job functions:
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of company's strategic business plans and align these into a coherent technology roadmap.
• Lead strategic technological planning, as it relates to applications, data and infrastructure and distributed systems, to help achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives.
• Coordinate the evaluation, development, design, and deployment of current and future technologies.
• Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company's existing IT architecture/application, data and infrastructure, and overall technology portfolio.
• Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT application, data and infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
• Review new and existing IT projects, systems designs, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural plans.

Strategic:
• Define the target enterprise architecture at Avail-TVN using standard Enterprise Architecture frameworks, methodologies, and artifacts
• Engage internal stakeholders to evaluate technology alternatives to include build vs. buy, insource vs. outsource in order to determine the best path towards developing competitive advantage for Avail-TVN Service Portfolio
• Provide expertise in the development of business driven IT strategy in conjunction with Enterprise Life Cycle development and implementation, including strategic support for EA, service oriented architecture (SOA), and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) initiatives.
• Lead the technical service management and design efforts and provide to provide a coherent technology and service management strategy across all internal and externally facing services supported by technology
Tactical:
• Define and develop strategy and methodology and identify technology/tools for SOA, EAI, Infrastructure Optimization, Platform Selection and Content Management
• Establish and manage a team of Service Line Architects who are accountable for the design of Avail-TVN core service platforms (Linear, VOD, CPSF), the associated business processes and the supporting IT infrastructure
• Collaborate with product managers and business unit leaders for the creation and ongoing management of Service Design Packages to ensure new and existing service deliverables for the company are consistent with the architectural design, operational support, and implementation objectives of the company.
• Design of the technology architectures and management systems, to support optimization of processes workflows in order to facilitate efficient and scalable service management activities
• Includes discrete systems/databases/applications and their attributes as well as integration considerations
• System, Application, Process and Solution design documents
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements:
• Proven experience in IT applications, data, infrastructure planning and development.
• Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
• Proven experience in systems design and development.
• Excellent technical architecture, infrastructure and technical support documentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
• Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems and not less than 10 years related work experience.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Enterprise Architecture strategy and road-map development utilizing standard framework and methodologies such as TOGAF, FEA, Zachman, etc
• Experience and ability to develop Business Architecture, Application Architecture, Data Architecture, and Technical Architecture artifacts covering business process flows, data flows, data models, etc
