We are excited to announce that we currently have a position open for an Asset Delivery (AD) Supervisor, in our Language Services Department, located in Burbank, California.
Candidates must be highly motivated, with superior work ethic and ability to adhere to strict delivery deadlines, with minimal direct supervision. Must be able to perform in a fast paced environment and lead a team in resolving challenges in a positive and productive manner.
Position Overview
The asset delivery supervisor supports the Language Services Department by leading the asset delivery team in planning, quality checks and delivery of subtitling and caption files. The AD Supervisor oversees the day to day in the Burbank facility and will report in to the Head of Production (Language Services). The AD Supervisor is a new addition to the VDMS Team.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the timely completion of all day to day work being performed within the Asset Delivery Team, both in LA and India
• Prioritize and assign work (within DASH System) to the asset delivery operators on a daily basis to meet deadlines
• Ensure proper resource coverage is in place to handle day to day needs as well as unplanned and planned absences
• Improve throughput and efficiencies while minimizing errors
• Ownership on AD related rejections ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed
• Analyze and report on internal and external rejection metrics and causes
• Resolve due date related issues or contact the appropriate personnel when deadlines are in jeopardy of being missed
• Ensure AD team is keeping the DASH production schedule up to date by signing off all completed tasks related to asset delivery.
• Provide Training to the AD team on new processes and procedures ensuring proper implementation and roll out
• Work closely with other department coordinators, leads, supervisors and managers to understand and follow through with daily priorities
• Understand client specs and provide guidance to make sure all needs are met
• Assist AD operators with technical, scheduling or DASH related issues
• Uphold strong relationship with operations in Burbank, London, and Bangalore.
• Maintain an awareness of Visual Data's culture and ensure that we are working towards the company's core values and mission statement
• Represent and uphold all operational processes, policies and procedures and maintain an exceptional level of service for our customers
• Manage and approve operator timecards and vacation requests
• Assist in employee development and reviews
• Assist Director of Language Services in meeting company KPI goals
• Undertake additional department duties as required
Desired Skills and Experience
• 3+ years of subtitling, captioning and / or media distribution experience
• Previous experience of managing a team
• Previous experience of dealing with international stakeholders
• Previous experience of dealing with customers, internal and external
• Ability to review and understand technical specs
• Results oriented with strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills
• Strong multi-tasker with experience in organizing and managing multiple projects and priorities
• Strong ability to work unsupervised, at a fast pace in a calm and collected manner
• Ability to problem solve quickly, make decisions based in limited information and take corrective action as needed
• Ability to manage client expectations and juggle multiple priorities
• Ability to identify areas of improvement and inefficiency
