Key duties include: under an attorney's supervision, draft, revise and finalize various legal and compliance documents; draft and distribute compliance reports; provide administrative and office support to legal department; maintain filing systems (both hard-copy and electronic), including scanning of documents and handling of executed copies; respond on a timely basis to inquiries from staff, senior executives and board members; liaise with external legal departments and outside counsel; ensure matters are dealt with within strict time frames and ensure adherence with timelines; prepare, administer, and maintain documentation required for corporate maintenance of the group companies; administer and draft corporate resolutions and company documentation for board meetings; assisting with various compliance, reporting, corporate governance and other ad hoc company matters.
Qualified candidates for this position must have: Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) and at least 3-5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house entertainment company legal department; paralegal certification and/or law school training (from ABA accredited school); strong ability to read, interpret, and comprehend complex legal documents; ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in fast-paced environment; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team environment; excellent writing, organizational and communication skills; must have superb accuracy and attention to detail; ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and documents; must be able to complete tasks in accordance with instructions' proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat); and proficiency in internet research skills to execute diverse tasks associated with the position.
