Vicious Buzz is currently looking for the right person to join our Los Angeles team as a full time Publicist.
We are a creative Agency specializing in buzz-worthy music, brand, and pop culture accounts based in Los Angeles, offering publicity, marketing and creative services to meet each of our clients specific needs. We're all about good vibes, passion for success, and of course, representing outstanding clients. Vicious Buzz is looking for someone that's well-connected, detail oriented, outgoing, enthusiastic and has great phone skills. You, the publicist, will be in charge your own campaigns; therefore you must have relationships with the media & press.
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 yrs. experience in public relations, record label or global agency a plus
- Knowledge of Mailchimp, Cision, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Docs is a plus.
- Looking for a career with great growth potential in the company
- Must have strong media contacts with print media, online media, TV and music/entertainment/celebrity blogs.
- Draft proposals, conduct pitch meetings and pitch calls, and bring in new clients to company roster.
- Arrange all assets including bios, talking points, photo, album details in easy to share manner
- Must have knowledge of client relations and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to work with tight deadlines, demands and have leadership skills.
- Manage publicity campaigns for music festivals, events, tours, album releases, and companies.
- Manage timing of press releases and pitches to media
- Develop and execute media relations strategies
- Attend concerts, music festivals, nightly concerts, and industry events
Your daily tasks will be:
· Bring in and represent new clients to our roster.
· Drafting press releases, media alerts, press reports, pitches.
· Organizing calls/meetings both internally and with current and potential clients.
· Scheduling, pitching, and handling press for a full client roster.
· Maintain various client-related or company related publicity documents
· Prepare press reports
· Research contacts for outlets and brands for pitches and outreach.
· Keep track of releases and campaign timeline, managing publicity and promotional assets
Candidate Must:
· Have a real interest in music/entertainment and understand our brand and type of artists / brands we work with
· Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
· Have great organizational skills and detail-oriented; social media savvy
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment
· Must have solid writing skills and strong interpersonal skills.
