Job Description: VP Human Resources, Global Entertainment Group, COO Groups
Reports to: SVP, Human Resources Global Entertainment Group
Viacom is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to in our Global Entertainment Group partnering with the business functions supporting iconic brands such as MTV, Comedy Central, VH1 and Paramount TV. The groups this role would directly support would be Research and Audience Science, Production, Product Development, Programming Acquisitions. These groups serve all Network brands in Viacom’s adult space. This role will also serve as the Operational Manager for the Global Entertainment HR team and will lead core processes, and define new a better ways of working and help leverage data to provide data insights on people and org in a much more robust way than we do today.
Responsibilities
• Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy, execution and change management.
• Provide insightful data to guide decision making; provide proactive solutions.
• Consult with Research and Audience Science, Production, Product and Acquisitions leaders to create a comprehensive people plan to influence lasting change.
• Manage all Headcount movement, funding cases as well as compensation recommendations and budget management in partnership with the broader HR team and Finance partners.
• Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue, no matter how large or small, and design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organizational solutions.
• Provide expertise in the following areas: Cultural and organizational alignment, career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development.
• Manage core people processes for the Global Entertainment HR team with a constant eye towards improvement and empowerment of the business.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum qualifications
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of HR or relevant HR Business Partner Manager or Leader experience.
• 4 years of HR or relevant HR Business Partner experience.
Additional Qualifications
• Preferred qualifications
• MA/MS/MBA degree.
• Experience working as a management consultant, working with external clients.
• Great at influencing through strong relationships, expertise and data. Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders.
• Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done and the next moment being part of deeply complex strategy discussions.
• Great communication skills and understand how to communicate large complex change.
• Experience with Creative cultures and motivating creative individuals and teams.
• Experience in transformational change.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
• Strong process and operational skills.
