Full Time Job
This executive will be responsible for creating dynamic experiences bringing all aspects of the Nickelodeon brand to life and is responsible for leading and managing the Nickelodeon Event Marketing team.
In this role, the VP leads a multi-level, full time and freelance team that produces key brand events in both the B2B and B2C environments. This team supports the event marketing needs of 10 different internal groups, and partners with key cross organization teams to ensure that all events are on-brand and designed to promote Nickelodeon’s leadership position.
The VP will prioritize requests, assign projects, as well as communicate to the broader organization through both planning and execution, while also managing expectations around budget and production logistics.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Partner Marketing & Events.
Responsibilities
• Work with internal client groups to create engaging on the ground event experiences and top tier hospitality opportunities for our various audiences (i.e. viewers, consumers, advertisers/sponsors, industry, internal)
• Partner with key Viacom and Nickelodeon departments to ensure all events/programs comply with company business practices and industry standards (Production Management, Travel Management, BALA, Finance, Production Safety, Security)
• Review, prioritize and assign projects based on skill set and resources available according to event parameters; Ensure events are staffed with freelancers as needed
• Develop and support strong work flow process and documentation; Ensure event calendars, activation plans and budgets are comprehensive
• Lead and motivate the department including fostering cohesion as well as individual development with emphasis on strong communication and transparency
• Champion innovation (new technology, venues, activations) and identify new trends and interests to maintain Nickelodeon’s leadership position with kids & families
• Strong communication with senior executives is critical; providing event goals, strategies/tactics along with detailed summaries/status on a regular basis
• Support the Nickelodeon Live Events and Viacom Special Events teams as needed with key channel tent pole programs and executions
Basic Qualifications
• 10-15 years of Event Marketing/Corporate Marketing experience
• Experienced in strategic direction and oversight of events and initiatives of all scope and size
Additional Qualifications
• Analytical thinker, self-motivated, organized, flexible and a proven problem solver
• Strong Executive presence, experience working directly with C-Level Executives a must
• Vast knowledge of event management and production needs; Able to both negotiate with and manage vendor partners
• Fiscally responsible with success overseeing large budgets and costs in detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
