Full Time Job
Responsible for assisting in the accurate and timely preparation and review of Viacom’s consolidated financial statements and related Viacom and Media Networks divisional analyses.
Basic Qualifications
• Assist in the preparation of various footnote disclosures for Viacom’s Form 10-Q and 10-K reporting, which will require analyzing quarterly supplemental schedules prepared by the finance and operations teams at the divisions and interacting with them to better understand information reported
• Assist in the department’s preparation of the quarterly Earnings Support Book distributed to various Viacom Corporate departments
• Maintain and review Media Networks divisional monthly P&L reporting packages (LVPLAN and HFM)
• Support Media Networks and Viacom Corporate Finance teams by facilitating metadata updates to financial reporting systems and resolving mapping errors during monthly close
• Assist with ad hoc Viacom and internal management requests and financial reporting projects
• Ensure that all relevant key controls are in place and functioning properly in accordance with internal policies and procedures and Sarbanes Oxley
• Work with external auditors during quarterly and year end reviews and audits in preparing information requests and addressing inquires
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2 to 4 years of public accounting or industry-relevant experience
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Fosters teamwork by promoting and maintaining an atmosphere of open communication
• Able to be aware of the audience and adapt message and communication style accordingly
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, be proactive and follow through
• Prior Big Four experience a plus
• Prior entertainment & media experience a plus
• Experience with SAP, Longview and/or HFM a plus
