Senior Marketing Manager (3-6 Month Contract)
About Consumer Products within Nickelodeon...
The Consumer Products team sits within the wider Nickelodeon UK organisation, and is responsible for coordinating the development and sale of consumer products through all relevant UK retailers - aligned against the priority shows across the Nickelodeon network.
Nickelodeon UK is a television network that comprises 3 TV channels:-
Nick Jr – pre-school focus
Nick Toons – animated contant aimed at boys aged 5 – 8yrs
Nickelodeon – Girls skewed content, targeted at core 8-11yr olds
Consumer Products categories span toys, apparel, homewares, publishing, accessories, back to school, DVD, video games, etc.
Shows around which consumer products are developed are:- PAW Patrol, Blaze, Shimmer and Shine, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nella the Princess Knight, Rusty Rivets and JoJo Siwa.
What will this role be doing...
This role will focus on developing retail marketing activity, in conjunction with the Consumer Products retail team.
Retail Marketing
Develop retail marketing calendars with retail team:- what incremental sales will retail marketing deliver?
What works in a particular retailer? What doesn’t?
Retail marketing concept development
Work with CP Marketing to develop creative propositions that ensures differentiation for Nickelodeon vs other licenses activity
Manage briefing process of retail marketing creative needs, with the VIMN creative team
POS requirements, catalogue pages, flyers, gift guides
Manage specific retail events/roadshows, in conjunction with retail team
i.e. Toys R Us roadshow, store managers’ conferences, Primark immersion days, etc…
Reporting
Work alongside retail team to develop case studies for all key retail activations, including Marketing investment and ROI
What skills will you need...
Project management – managing critical timing paths, status reports, etc.
Highly organised – ability to spin many plates at the same time
Stakeholder management – primary stakeholders will be internal:-
CP retail team, CP marketing team, CP design team, CP category team
Excellent communication skills – ensure CP team is fully abreast of retail marketing activity, and ongoing status updates
i.e. able to present retail marketing ideas in a compelling and confident way
Creative thinker – is there a more innovative way of doing things? Stretch the boundaries
Effective time management – ensure delivery of assets/presentations, etc in a timely manner
An excellent retail marketing track record
